Pearl District · Since 2011Dr. Amara Okafor opened Alder with two treatment chairs, one hygienist and a hunch: people avoid the dentist because visits feel rushed.
So she booked longer appointments, explained every option in plain words and put prices in writing before any work began. Word spread, mostly from patients telling friends.
Today we care for families across Portland from three clinics. The chairs have changed over the years. The pace hasn't.
